Zeynep Kantur Ozenci is the Global Manager and Global Head of Health in the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group.

A Turkish national, Zeynep’s professional background blends a mix of policy work at the IBRD, leading investments and global sector initiatives in the IFC, and investment banking and corporate finance experience in the private sector. Among her flagship contributions, Zeynep has led efforts in creation of bankable structures for a major hospital PPP program in Turkey, marking the first time that IFC would finance large scale PPPs in the social sector. Prior to her current position globally heading health services, medical equipment and life sciences sectors, she has played two key roles as the Global Upstream/Market Creation Lead for Health & Education sectors, and the Global Lead for IFC’s pandemic readiness and health resilience initiatives. As part of her responsibilities, Zeynep has led the development of the Global Health Platform and has been leading several of IFC’s pioneering activities under the platform, including the establishment of vaccine manufacturing capacities in Africa.

 

Zeynep holds an MS in Finance degree from University of Maryland, College Park and a BS in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University. She is currently based in Washington DC, with her entrepreneur husband and two very active sons.
