Max Ateba is an Associate Partner based in Dalberg’s Washington D.C. office. Mr. Ateba is an Impact Investment and Partnerships Development leader with over 15 years of combined, progressive experience in consulting and banking. His areas of expertise include strategy, impact investing and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) across healthcare, trade finance, consumer goods, telecom and agribusiness. He is passionate about challenges at the intersection of capital, technology and social impact. Before consulting, Max was a Sustainable Finance associate at JPMorgan where he was responsible for screening opportunities and assessing impact risk for funds in financial inclusion ( MicroVest ), food security (Novastar) and health equity for JPMorgan’s Global Health Investment Fund (GHIF).

While at Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, he managed teams designing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks for various sovereign wealth funds in Africa and Southeast Asia.

Max holds an MBA from St. John’s University, a MSc inDevelopment Economics and a bachelor’s in Economics (with honors) from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy.
